Dinner nightmares - hopefully over

In 2014 i was super busy - so busy in fact that my family ended up eating oven bake chips, fish, chicken nuggets or fish fingers most nights from September through November. Bleh

So with a bit of luck my new plan will work better. I've pt together a 4 week meal plan. Easy meals, with lists of what we need to buy and something different each night for a month. I'll sit and do a new one for the next four weeks soon. Maybe repeat some favorites and look for some other ideas as I go along.

Maybe you'll like it to - so here it is, a basic idea, make your own pasta, make your own Bread - cook it how you feel is right. Change the main ingredients if you don't eat it.

  1. That's awesome you have a four week plan! I have a one week plan! What normally happens is we change certain things along the way but we keep the ones we like or have an outline e.g. chicken friday and wed, fish on sat and mon, red meat on sun, mince on thurs, meat on tues.

  2. We used to work on a one week plan.
    Pasta Monday
    Potatoe Tuesday
    Pizza/Take-out Wednesday
    Rice Thursday and
    Free weekends

But, we ended up eating spagetti bolognaise, oven bake chips and something, all the time when i was so busy. Because half of my work in dinner is deciding what to make. We're on week 2 and im loving this "menu". It's like ready steady cook. But we've pre-planned the food and bought it in advance. We're also spending less money on nicer food so far and ZERO take-out yet. I know we're only on week 2, but its really working out great.
